[ARCHIVED] What can you do About the Opioid Epidemic?

According to the Centers for Disease Control, every day, more than 115 Americans die after overdosing on opioids. Learn what you can do at this documentary screening and training event at the Tabb Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12. Join us for a screening of the documentary film "Dying in Vein: The Opiate Generation." "Dying in Vein" is a deeply personal exploration of opiate and heroin addiction that drops you directly into the lives of an addict in recovery, a couple trying to get clean, a family grieving the loss of their son, and an Emergency Room Physician trying to save one patient at time. Then learn from a trained specialist how to administer NARCAN, a medication that can save the life of a person suffering from the effects of an opioid overdose. This program is sponsored by York County and SpiritWorks Foundation.
