Calling all film lovers!

Our Kanopy film collection is switching from play credits to tickets.

Starting November 1, 2023, the viewing experience on Kanopy will be easier than ever with the switch from play credits to tickets. With this update, you can easily see the number of tickets required and viewing period for each film next to the play button on a title's detail page.

York County Public Library cardholders will have 30 tickets each month. Tickets reset on the first day of the month, and unused tickets do not roll over to the next month. You can see your remaining tickets for the month in the top-right corner of the homepage. For episodic titles, like TV series and The Great Courses, you'll also see what content the tickets unlock (e.g., "Season 1" or "all") and the viewing period. After starting a video, you can watch it as many times as you'd like within the viewing period without using additional tickets.

Kanopy Kids and our six unlimited viewing collections do not use tickets. You can access an unlimited number of these titles each month. Kanopy Kids can be accessed in the top right corner of the homepage. Our unlimited viewing collections are: British Cinema & TV Collection, Diversity Collection, Easy Watching Collection, World Cinema Collection, Series Collection, and Kanopy Favorites Collection.
