[ARCHIVED] York County Public Library Surpasses Digital Checkout Goal for 2017

Many thanks to all of our digital readers for helping us hit our OverDrive digital checkout goal for 2017! Not only did we hit our Digital Dash goal of 45,822 checkouts, we surpassed it with 45,966 checkouts. A new monthly record of 4,901 checkouts was set during December, too. We also welcomed 176 new digital readers during the November/December Digital Dash.

If you're not familiar with our OverDrive digital collection, give us a call at the Tabb Library, 757-890-5120, or Yorktown Library, 757-890-5207, or stop by the Reference Department at either library. We'd be glad to help you get started.

The library’s digital books are free for anyone with a valid York County Public Library card. Users can borrow bestsellers and classic eBooks and digital audiobooks to enjoy on smart phones, tablets, Kindles, and other eReaders, MP3 players, and computers. A variety of fiction and nonfiction titles are available for adults, teens, and children. There are never any late fees since digital titles return automatically at the end of the 14-day lending period. Readers can access the library’s digital collection 24/7 by visiting or by downloading the Libby app from their device’s app store.
