2023 Winter Reading Challenge


Get Yeti to Read with York County Public Library! Our winter reading challenge runs from January 1, 2023, to February 4, 2023. Registration opens January 1, 2023, and you can register anytime between January 1 and February 4, 2023.

Challenge Details

All ages are welcome to participate. Our community reading goal is to read 2,023 hours by or before February 4, 2023. Keep track of your reading through the library's Beanstack site or the Beanstack app.

Complete minute logging and activity badges to earn raffle tickets for our Beanstack raffle ticket prize drawings. Earn extra tickets for completing Bingo (5 in a row) and a fully-blacked out Bingo board. Get BINGO? You win a snazzy York County Public Library drawstring bag—available for pickup at the Tabb Youth Services or Reference desks.

Registration 

Beginning January 1, you can register for the Winter Reading 2023 Challenge on the Beanstack site and start logging minutes. If you've previously enrolled in one of our reading challenges on Beanstack, log in using the same account information. If you don't remember your account information, select "Sign In" then "Forgot Your Username" or "Forgot Your Password." You can also participate through the free Beanstack Tracker app available in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Search for "York County Public Library" as your site and then login with your username and password.

Prizes 

Enter your raffle tickets into one of our gift card drawings in Beanstack for chances to win! Winners will be drawn and contacted on Monday, February 6, 2023.

Teen Advisory Board Donation Drive

Throughout the month of January, the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) will be collecting donations for the Coventry Elementary Comfort Closet. Look for the blue collection bins at Tabb Library and Grafton Annex. Anyone can donate; however, reading challenge participants can also earn a raffle ticket by donating and completing the corresponding badge in Beanstack.

Suggested items for donations include: Hats, Gloves, Scarves, Socks, Underwear, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and Bath Soap, Toothbrushes and Toothpaste, Dental Floss, Deodorant , Hair Brushes and Combs, and Hair ties.
