Special Recreation Camp

General Information


York County's Special Recreation Camp is a summer program designed to provide a variety of enjoyable recreational opportunities for youth with disabilities and/or special needs. Registration is limited.

June 24 - July 19 (Closed Thursday, July 4)

Times


Monday - Friday  9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Eligibility


Boys and girls who are 6 years of age and older with disabilities are eligible for the camp.

Cost


Residents - $225
Non-Residents - $400

  • Movies
  • Special visitors
  • Swimming days
  • Weekly themes

Field Trips


Our field trips will be listed on an activity calendar distributed prior to the first day of camp. The Special Recreation Camp site will not be open on field trip days. Parents are welcome to attend field trips, however, they must provide their own transportation and pay all fees associated with the trip.

In case of inclement weather on outdoor field trip days, participants should call 757-890-3501 prior to 9 a.m. for cancellation information.
