COVID-19 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Public Hearing

The County of York will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at 2 pm via virtual meeting to solicit public input on the proposed COVID-19 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application submitted by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (VDHCD) for COVID-19 Emergency response for small business negatively impacted by the current pandemic. Business owners and residents of York County are encouraged to participate.

The COVID-19 CDBG application will include the following activities: Acquisition and reimbursement of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and minor modifications to enable mandatory social distancing so business can safely reopen. The COVID-19 CDBG application will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low-and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the County’s past use of CDBG funds.
