The Human Resources Department, in conjunction with SyN, is providing this workshop on coaching others effectively, with a focus on establishing and carrying through on corrective discipline measures.

Overview

This course will challenge you, as a leader, to equip yourself with the attitudes, skills and leadership behaviors necessary to effectively lead your team, even when you have team members who aren’t completely on board.

You will experience pragmatic role plays, clear strategies, and communication models designed to adjust the behavior of team members so that you, as a leader, can enjoy your work and achieve consistent, superior results with your team.

Objectives

  • Discover how to vision-cast to gain buy-in
  • Discuss the fundamentals of a disciplinary process
  • Effective use of 5-steps to confront employees -  build understanding and not resentment
  • Employee performance/attitude matrix
  • Experience role play coaching situations
  • How to adjust employee behavior
  • How to deal with employee attitude problems including the “toxic” employee
  • How to integrate your leadership style with each team member
  • Learn the 4 steps to understanding the coaching model
  • Learn the steps to implementing a coaching process
  • Understand when to move from coaching to counseling
