The Risk Manager's Office sponsors the Defensive Driving Training (DDC 4) classroom course on a regular basis.
This training is designed to show how safe driving increases productivity, creates better community relations, and maintains efficiency. The class will focus on how to prevent motor vehicle accidents and will include topics on collision-prevention techniques, vehicle inspection, safety belt and air bag systems, and the consequences of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
This class satisfies the County requirement to be trained prior to driving a County vehicle. It does not provide the classroom time necessary to qualify for point reduction through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
- The classes are held in the Public Safety Building Meeting Room. Max class size is 30.
