THE SESSIONS HOUSE

A survivor of the Siege of 1781 and the Civil War, the Sessions House is the oldest house still standing in Yorktown. It was built in 1692, one year after the establishment of the town of York. From 1698 through 1705, and then sporadically until 1725, it was run as an ordinary (inn). It is currently a private residence.
