HOW CAN I GET MY LIFE BACK TOGETHER?

[Back]

Living as a stalking victim can create numerous financial, emotional, and personal problems. Stalking can be an insidious crime that slowly chips away at every aspect of your life. You do not have to remain a victim, however. There are steps you can take to help reclaim your life. There are numerous agencies in most communities that are willing to help. If you have questions, or need support, contact someone who is trained to work with victims and survivors of stalking. They may help alleviate some of the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty that are interfering with various aspects of your life. If you have taken out charges, contact your local Victim-Witness Assistance Program. They can refer you to a counselor, help you understand the court process, and explain your rights as a victim of crime. For many, these may be the first steps to getting their lives back together.
