HOW CAN I GET MY LIFE BACK TOGETHER?
[Back]

It is important to note that individual responses to stress differ greatly. Some individuals may bounce back from their victimization with little or no outside assistance. Others may rely on friends and family to see them through. Often, however, survivors find it helpful to discuss their concerns and fears with others who have had similar experiences. Your local sexual assault support agency or private counselor can help you understand the fears you may have and the feelings you may be experiencing. They also offer counseling and support groups for sexual assault survivors. Your local Victim-Witness Assistance Program can help keep you informed about the status of your case or the location of the incarcerated offender. With information and a healthy support system, many victims can begin to get their lives back together.
