VICTIMS' RIGHTS HISTORY
 

1993     Congress passes the Child Sexual Abuse Registry Act establishing a depository 

             for information on child sex offenders.

  

             Twenty-two states pass stalking statutes, bringing the total number of states with 

             stalking laws to 50, plus the District of Columbia.

 

             Wisconsin ratifies its constitutional amendment for victims’ rights, raising the total  

             number of states with these amendments to 14.
