VICTIMS' RIGHTS HISTORY
 

1980     Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is founded.

             The U. S. Congress passes the Parental Kidnapping Prevention Act of 1980.

 

             Wisconsin passes the first "Crime Victims Bill of Rights."

 

             The first Victim Impact Panel is sponsored by Remove Intoxicated Drivers (RID) in

             Oswego County, New York.
