HOW CAN I GET MY LIFE BACK TOGETHER?
[Back]

Living with domestic violence can create numerous financial, emotional, and personal problems. Being a victim of domestic violence can be a life-shattering. You do not have to remain a victim, however. You can become a survivor. There are numerous agencies in most communities that can and are willing to help. When you make a decision to break free, contact your local domestic violence shelter. They can help you get back on your feet and plot a future. If you have taken out charges, contact your local Victim-Witness Assistance Program. They can help you understand the court process and the rights you have as a victim of crime. For many, these may be the first steps to getting their lives back together.
