WORKING AT THE POLLS

SERVING YORK COUNTY AS AN OFFICER OF ELECTION.

REQUIREMENTS NEEDED:

You must be a registered voter in Virginia.

You must  state which political party Democratic or Republican you prefer to represent.

You are required to be competent, fully capable of performing all duties in a mature manner.

Be of good moral character.

You must not hold any elective office or be the deputy or employee of an elected official.

You will be required to attend training sessions.

You must be able to work the entire day of the election.

You will be required to take an oath of office and be available in all but emergency situations.


THE STRENGTH OF A DEMOCRACY DEPENDS UPON THE INVOLVEMENT OF ITS CITIZENS.
