Lawn Renovation / Maintenance Clinics

Lawns are essential elements of landscaping, helping to tie together gardens and other elements in the landscape design.  They also can become a very expensive and inefficient part of the landscape, if proper fertilization and cultural practices are not observed.  This inefficiency can lead to environmental problems caused by casual applications of nutrients that get into main bodies of water through storm drainage.

The VCE-York County office offers FREE lawn renovation and lawn maintenance clinics to those homeowners wishing to learn how to maintain a beautiful, environmentally sound lawn.

The renovation clinic is held in July to give homeowners ample time to do the needed preparation such as soil testing.  This clinic will assist homeowners in assessing their lawn situation, then know the steps to take to renovate the lawn.

Fall is the best time on the Peninsula to perform the annual maintenance on your lawn.  The focus of the lawn maintenance clinics will be to discuss steps that can be taken by homeowners to properly maintain their lawns.
