Military FAM Tour September 23, 2004 Slide Show
This year, the 2004 Williamsburg Area Military Familiarization and Training Tour brought 25 MWR (Morale, Welfare and Recreation) and ITT (Information Tickets and Tours) office managers from military installations across the United States to Virginia's Historic Triangle, September 22-25. For several packed filled days, the participants visited Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. The event is in it's 5th year and is a cooperative effort that includes local tourism industry attractions and sites. During the weekend, participants visited Busch Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Historic Jamestowne, Jamestown Settlement, Ghosts of Yorktown Candlelight Tour, Yorktown Battlefield and Visitor Center, Yorktown Victory Center, Colonial Downs and Prime Outlets of Williamsburg. The host hotel properties were the Sheraton Four Points and the Woodlands Hotel & Suites. One of the many highlights during their visit to Yorktown this year was a trolley tour around town and dinner at Yorktown's newest restaurant, Carrot Tree in the Cole Digges House.
