Yorktown July 4th Celebration  Independence Day in Yorktown is a family friendly celebration featuring an 8 am Yorktown Independence Day 8K run and 5K walk at York High School and a patriotic parade along Water and Main Streets at 9 am.  During the day, activities cease to give families time to enjoy the beach, visit our shops and museums, or head on home for their Independence Day cookout.  Come back for our evening activities including the 7 pm Bell-Ringing Ceremony, 8 pm Patriotic Concert, and the amazing fireworks show on the York River at 9:15 pm.  Bring your flags, wear red, white, and blue, and celebrate America!
