The York County
Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division is commanded by Captain Franklin
Crotty. It is divided into three separate units: Major Crimes
Investigations, Special Investigations, and School Resource Deputies. There
are seventeen deputies/investigators assigned to the investigations
division. The Major Crimes Investigations Unit has one Lieutenant, one
Sergeant and eight investigators and four school resource officers. The
Special Investigations Unit has one Lieutenant and two investigators
assigned to the unit.
There is one
School Resource Deputy assigned to each of the counties four high schools
during the school year. During the summer months the school resource
deputies perform regular patrol duties. York County School Resource
deputies are fully certified deputy sheriffs.
