Topics listed below are presentations that have been given and will be updated as new presentations are developed. All presentations are approximately 30 minutes plus questions and answers.
Part 1 This Presentation is given to subdivisions who are interested in establishing a neighborhood watch. It addresses what neighborhood watch is and is not, how to get started, overview of crime prevention and home security Part 2 This portion describes the duties of the neighborhood watch staff, reporting suspicious activity, how to maintain the neighborhood watch program. This presentation covers how people steal our identity, what they do with it, and how we can stop them. You will never look at your mail the same after hearing this presentation. This is our most requested presentation. This program covers mail fraud, predatory lending, home improvement scams and telephone fraud. While focused on senior citizens any age group would benefit from this presentation. This program teaches you steps you can take to reduce your chances of being a victim of crime. This is not a hands on approach to personal safety. This presentation discus's both sides of workplace violence. Both the employer and employee will benefit from this presentation. CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) This presentation discus's the effect of landscaping on contributing or preventing crime at residences and business. Geared toward businesses, this presentation discusses what you can do to prevent a robbery, what to do during a robbery if it does occur and what to do after a robbery. Locks, lights, keys and alarms are the big one discussed here. What private homeowners can do to protect their biggest investment. Basic CPTED issues are also presented. |
