REAL ESTATE ASSESSMENT OFFICE.
Responsible for the biennial assessment of real property for the purpose of
tax assessment within the County consisting of approximately 23,700 parcels; the administration of the Land Use
Program which consists of about 51 properties that have a market valuation of close to
$16,406,900. This division also
serves as the database repository for the real estate information for the County and
serves as the interface between the County and the taxpayers including real estate

REAL ESTATE OR MOBILE HOME
TAX RELIEF FOR ELDERLY AND/OR PERMANENTLY DISABLED. If you are 65
years old or older on January 1 of the tax year, or 100% disabled, earn less
than $50,000 in income from all sources for one or more owner(s) (if totally
and permanently disabled, income limitations are different) and have less
than $200,000 in net worth, you may be entitled to an exemption on your Real
Estate Tax or Mobile Home Tax. Applications for relief from Real
Estate Tax or Mobile Home Tax must be filed with the Commissioner of the

RECYCLING. Weekly
recycling collection service is available to all houses, townhouses, and trailer parks.
This voluntary service includes the use of a green 18-gallon recycling bin. Residents must
have their recycling bins out at the front roadside by 7:00 a.m. on their scheduled
collection day to ensure pick up. Recyclables may also be delivered to the Waste
Management Center's Recycling Drop-Off Facility, Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

list of acceptable collection items. NOTE: If you sell your house, make sure you leave the
