INTEGRATED
PRESCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAM (IPOP).
The York County Integrated Preschool Outreach
Program (IPOP) is a language-based, preschool environment for eligible
three-year children offering a wide variety of enriching activities in a
nurturing, educational setting at Magruder, Dare or Tabb Elementary
schools September through May. Each classroom can hold a maximum of 16
students - eight typically developing children who are role models and
eight children identified with special needs. Children attend their
zoned schools for a Monday through Wednesday morning four-hour program.
The curriculum places emphasis on socialization and readiness skills.
Students are involved in all of the school wide activities including
resource classes. The IPOP teachers are certified teachers with advanced
backgrounds in education and have vast experience teaching children with
a wide range of readiness levels. Applications are due by March 28 for
