The game warden is an employee of the Virginia Department of
Game and Inland Fisheries and enforces hunting and fishing regulations.
GARAGE SALES.
No permit is needed for up to two garage sales per year of used household
items. Each sale may last three days. As many as five households can take
part. If crafts are to be sold, a permit may be needed. Call Development &

WEEDS. Vacant and occupied properties must be kept mowed, according to
the County Code. Report violations to Development & Compliance. Telephone
- (757) 890-3524. If an inspection determines there is a code
violation, a notice is sent to the property owner at the last known address.
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE & CONSTRUCTION. Responsible
for maintaining and improving the quality of School Division and County grounds
including athletic fields and Parks & Recreation outdoor recreational
