PD-19-06, McCale Development Corporation:
Request to amend certain approval conditions and proffers for
the proposed 151-unit South Park residential community which was
approved in 1993 to be located on the south side of Denbigh
Boulevard (Route 173) adjacent to the Newport News city
boundary. The approval conditions are set out in Ordinance No.
O92-37(R) and the proposed changes in those conditions and the
proffers would require the project to be developed as an
age-restricted senior housing community (as defined by the York
County Zoning Ordinance), would prohibit residency by anyone
under the age of nineteen (19), and would provide for a cash
proffer by the developer for road improvements. The subject
area is designated for High Density Residential development (3
dwelling units per acre) in the Comprehensive Plan.
