On October 6, 1999, the Board of Supervisors adopted
Charting the Course to 2015: The
County of York Comprehensive Plan. It
updates the County’s first true Comprehensive Plan, Charting the Course
to 2010, which was adopted in December 1991 and was recognized in 1993
by the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association with its
“Distinguished Professional Planning Project” award. Likewise, the
Comprehensive Plan Review Citizen
Input Process used for the 1999 plan received an Achievement Award from
the National Association of Counties. |
