FOOD FOR FINES

The Library is sponsoring a Food for Fines amnesty program from Nov. 1-14. Patrons with overdue materials may bring non-perishable food items to either the Tabb or Yorktown Library to pay their overdue fines. One food item will pay one fine, regardless of the amount of the fine (does not apply to charges for lost or damaged items). Patrons should bring their canned or boxed food items to the Circulation desk, along with their library card, to receive credit on their account. Donated items will benefit local food closets.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOKSALE

The Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale will be held in the Yorktown Library meeting room Oct. 30 through Nov. 1. On Friday, Oct. 30, the sale is open from 3-7 p.m. for members of the Friends. Non-members are welcome to join at the door. The sale is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 31 and from 1-5 p.m. on Nov. 1. Most items are priced between 50 cents and $1.
