PRESENTATION OF OPERATOR'S LICENSE
FOR JUVENILES
Once a juvenile has
successfully completed the requirements for obtaining a temporary
operator's license, the Division of Motor Vehicles forwards a permanent
license to the Juvenile Court for presentation. When we
receive your operator's license from DMV, you will be sent a letter
notifying you of the date and time for the formal presentation of your
license.
You must
have a parent or guardian accompany you to receive your license.
This is a court appearance and proper attire is required
(no shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, exposed midriff's, etc.).
When you arrive on your assigned Court date, please have a seat in the
Courtroom. Anyone
arriving late will NOT BE ADMITTED once the program has begun.
If for
any reason it is impossible for you to be present at the date designated
in your letter, you will AUTOMATICALLY receive a second
notice to receive your license at a later date.
IT IS NOT NECESSARY FOR
YOU TO CALL
FOR A SECOND DATE.
If you cannot appear on the second date, you will have to send a
letter to the Judge stating the reasons you cannot appear and he will
have to approve the continuance. Otherwise, your license will be
returned to the Division of Motor Vehicles and you will have to reapply
for a new license. |
