Abstract:
The planimetric dataset includes 10 different map layers digitized directly from York County's orthophotography. The pools layer represents the outline of private and public swimming pools. They layer was originally digitized from the 1:1200 mylar orthophotography flown in February 1990. It was updated in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2007 with digital orthophotos using heads-up digitizing. The pools layer will be updated as new digital imagery is acquired.
Purpose:
Provide pool outlines for mapping and analysis, including impervious surface analysis
Supplemental_Information:
Pools were originally digitized from the 1:1200 scale mylar orthophotography flown in 1990. Original digitizing took place between 10/1992 and 12/1994 as part of the planimetric digitizing project.
