Abstract:
The land cover layer shows the wooded and open areas within York County, Virginia. It includes areas of moderate to dense tree cover, depending on the number and size of the trees. Land cover is digitized as the edge of tree lines, with areas greater than ten to twenty trees.
Purpose: Provide the edge of tree lines for mapping and analysis
Supplemental_Information:
Tree lines may change with an addition of a subdivision, but are not updated until the new digital orthophotography is received.
