Abstract:
The lakes feature class is a hydrographical layer that includes all natural and manmade water bodies in the County. The layer consists of any water body that could be digitized as a polygon, inlcuding lakes, ponds, and rivers. Rivers that are too narrow to create accurate polygons are digitized as arcs in the streams layers.
Purpose:
Provide the outline of all water bodies in York County for mapping and analysis.
