The Yorktown
Fourth of July Celebration Committee is proud to announce the 29th
Annual Independence Day Celebration in historic Yorktown, Virginia.
Everyone is invited to join us in
celebrating our nation’s freedom in the place
where the American forces defeated the British in the last major
battle of the American Revolution, thereby assuring our country’s
independence.
This year’s
theme commemorates the “Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route
(W3R)”, the passage used by the French and American Forces in
their journey from Newport, Rhode Island to Yorktown in 1781.
An Arts &
Crafts Fair; Classic Car Show; Children’s Fun Center; Horse and Pony
Rides; Traditional (red, white and blue) Parade; and, a
Patriotic Concert, ending with a spectacular, music-enhanced, Fireworks Show, are only
some of the many activities planned throughout the day.
As always, we will continue to focus on our long-standing motto, “A
Family Affair,” and assure you of our commitment to the community to
provide a high-quality, clean, safe, wholesome, family-oriented,
daylong event celebrating the independence of this great nation.
We look forward to seeing you in Yorktown on July 4th! |
