The fourth fire station built in York County, the "Yorktown Station" was built and opened in December of 1990, by the county, as part of phase two of the 1986 York County Fire and Rescue
Bond Referendum. |

Service Area |
Fire Station Four/Yorktown responds "first due" into the Yorktown area of York County. Generally all portion of the county north of the C&O Railroad Tracks on Route 17 north to the
York River and west to the Naval Weapons Station and Newport News line. This station also provides primary back up response to the Grafton and Seaford Fire Stations. In addition the Department's specialized Technical
Rescue Team responds from Fire Station Four. |
