NEIGHBORHOOD FIRE STATION VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Normally anyone living in York County or an adjacent surrounding jurisdiction, who is interested in
becoming a volunteer, may apply regardless of prior experience. Applicants chosen to
become volunteers support career staff and are assigned to the fire station closest to their residence.
Volunteers may choose to serve as firefighters/EMTs or
medics/firefighters, and are offered courses for certification in their chosen area.
Volunteers may also choose to serve as support members to help out with various
non-emergency programs.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, an
application is available
in a PDF format. You can download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat
