| Drug Free Workplace |
|
The County
of York is committed to maintaining a drug free workplace. All job
applicants are subject to pre-employment controlled substances testing
and to other controlled substances and alcohol testing as specified by
County policy. |
| Driving Record Requirement |
|
During
the interview process, applicants for jobs that require a driver's
license will be required to submit their current official driving record
from the Department of Motor Vehicles. County employees who are
currently required to possess a commercial or regular driver's license
are exempt from this requirement. |
| Accommodation of Persons with
Disabilities |
|
The County
will make a reasonable effort to accommodate persons with disabilities
in the application, testing and/or interview process. Persons with
disabilities who require accommodation should contact the Human
Resources Division at least three working days in advance of the need
for accommodation. |
| Proof of Identity/Eligibility
for Employment in the US |
|
All
employees hired with the County will be required to provide the Human
Resources Division with proof of their identity and eligibility for
employment in the United States. A driver's license with a photo will
provide proof of identity and either a social security card or birth
certificate will provide proof of employment eligibility. A United
States passport or resident alien registration card with a photo will
provide proof of both identify and employment eligibility. |
