Utilities Operations
and Engineering |
Utilities Operations maintains
the County's gravity and vacuum collection lines as well as all sanitary
sewer pump, lift and vacuum stations.
Utilities Engineering
administers design contracts for the capital projects outlined in the latest
"Strategic Capital Plan - Water, Wastewater and Stormwater" a copy of which
can be viewed at E&DS's offices or any branch of the County's Public
Libraries. The Utilities Division also performs "in-house" designs for the
smaller projects.
Each year Utilities performs approximately five million dollars worth of
projects to extend sanitary sewer, public water and make stormwater
improvements. Funding for these projects is generated from a portion of the
County meals tax and through the collection of connection fees.
The Utilities Division, Strategic Capital
Plan contains detailed information, maps, and schedules pertaining to these
and other projects. Copies of the Plan are available at the York County
Libraries and at the Environmental and Development Services office at 105
Service Drive.
