Goods/Scrap Metal Recycling |
All white goods and scrap
metal received at the Waste Management Center are recycled through the
Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority (VPPSA).
- Most scrap metal items can
be recycled at the Waste Management Center located at 145 Goodwin Neck
Road at no charge.
- Some items may not be
acceptable such as fuel oil tanks, engine blocks with fluids still in
them, and chain link fencing.
- All refrigeration and AC
units must be placed separate from other metal items.
- Please stop at the scale
house on your way in and speak with the operator for assistance.
- Fuel oil tanks must be
opened at each end and tripled rinsed and is occupied by a letter stating
the fact you the resident rinsed the tank (address, phone number, and
signature with statement is required).
