HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL COLLECTIONS
ANNOUNCEMENT
The
Household Chemical Collection event scheduled for Saturday, November 14th,
will take place as scheduled. Residents may bring a variety of household
chemical products for disposal to a dropoff site located at the EDS
Operations Complex at 105 Service Drive (off Goodwin Neck Road) on SATURDAY,
NOVEMBER 14TH from 8:00 a.m. until NOON.
This
service is available to residents only – no businesses please. Please be
aware that this is the final scheduled household chemical collection event
for calendar year 2009 in York County – if you have materials for disposal
as a result of the Nor’easter, we encourage you to take advantage of this
opportunity.

Household Chemical
Collections and Computer Recycling Programs
Offered by the
Virginia Peninsulas Public
Service Authority, the Household Chemical Collection and Computer
Recycling programs provide an opportunity for Hampton, James City County,
Poquoson, Williamsburg and York County residents to responsibly dispose
of a variety of household chemicals & paint products, as well as computers
and electronics.

York County Chemical
Collection events are generally held from 8:00 a.m. until noon, the 2nd
Saturday of every other month from March through November. Events for
2009 will begin Saturday, March 14th.

Computer and electronics
recycling events are held in conjunction with selected Household
Chemical events.

All VPPSA community
members are eligible to utilize the collection opportunities at any of
the events – proof of residency may be required.
