SPECIAL NOR’EASTER STORM
ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to
the recent Nor'easter event, the York County Waste Management Center will be
open on the following dates for the disposal of storm-related debris,
including vegetative debris, household waste (excluding chemical products),
and construction debris:
November 14, 15, 21, & 22 (Saturdays and Sundays)
Hours
of operation for the disposal of vegetative debris at the VPPSA Composting
Facility will be from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Hours of operation for the
disposal of household waste and/or construction debris will be 7:00 a.m.
until 4:00 p.m.

HOUSEHOLD CHEMICAL COLLECTIONS
ANNOUNCEMENT
The
Household Chemical Collection event scheduled for Saturday, November 14th,
will take place as scheduled. Residents may bring a variety of household
chemical products for disposal to a dropoff site located at the EDS
Operations Complex at 105 Service Drive (off Goodwin Neck Road) on SATURDAY,
NOVEMBER 14TH from 8:00 a.m. until NOON.
This
service is available to residents only – no businesses please. Please be
aware that this is the final scheduled household chemical collection event
for calendar year 2009 in York County – if you have materials for disposal
as a result of the Nor’easter, we encourage you to take advantage of this
opportunity.

EDS ONLINE CUSTOMER
SERVICE REQUESTS
Environmental & Development Services features an
online customer service and request system. This system allows citizens and
customers to log on and request information and
services or register complaints ranging from trash and recycling pickup to
mosquito control or drainage issues.
This new service is available 24 hours a day -
7 days a week. In addition
to entering a service request, customers can follow the status and progress
of their request online and by email updates.
Upon
successful completion of an online request, the user
will receive
immediate notification by email and
responded to in writing or by phone in less than 48 hours
by EDS Staff.
