THE RIGHT TO COURTROOM ASSISTANCE
1. Crime victims have the right to the confidentiality of their
addresses and telephone numbers.
2. Courts can provide interpreter services, if needed.
3. Subpoenaed

Letters can be provided to employers or schools explaining that the

4. Minor victims who testify are allowed an adult in the
courtroom as a support person.
5. Closed preliminary hearings
are possible if you are a victim of a
sexual offense.
6. Subpoenaed
witnesses can be reimbursed for travel expenses, to certain limits. For details and limitations,
contact your local Victim-Witness Assistance Program for more
