Safety Town Home Tour Safety Town Schedule Registration Volunteer Funding Sponsors

Anyone,
middle school age and up can volunteer for Safety Town. Volunteers
assist the hired staff. There is a mandatory orientation for volunteers each year.
Youth and adult volunteers are needed to serve as
Leader Assistants, responsible for helping staff leaders monitor
and supervise an assigned group of eight to ten children. Adult volunteers not
only serve as Leader Assistants, but can also serve as an Instructors.
Instructors would be asked to teach one day per week for each of the
four Safety Town sessions.
Volunteer hours will be 8:30
a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday.
All Safety Town volunteers receive a Safety Town
T-shirt, recognition at the weekly Completion Ceremony, and an
invitation to a post-program Volunteer Appreciation Picnic. Interested
volunteers must be available to attend the volunteer orientation.
For the
purposes of scheduling and consistency, all selected volunteers are
required to commit to at least one entire week of the program.
