Childhood injury is responsible for more deaths than all childhood injuries combined.  Being aware of the dangers that can lead to injury, and learning ways to avoid them is a positive step toward prevention.

 

Safety Town is a County-wide, community-based program designed to teach young children various aspects of life safety.  Through the use of age-appropriate, hands-on interactive experiences, children enjoy learning lifesaving behaviors and practices that can help reduce the chance of serious injury.

 

Safety Town provides a safe and interesting learning environment that is set up to simulate an actual town.  The Safety Town site features mock buildings, sidewalks and streets, and is used as a practice area for the safety lessons.
