Division of Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization
USDA - Rural
Development Loans
The Housing Division Works with
the regional USDA Rural Development office to make low-interest financing
available to income-eligible applicants for the purchase of a home. The home
must be purchased within that area of York County that is defined as “rural”.
This area is generally defined as north of Denbigh Boulevard and West of Route
17.
Income eligibility requirements do
apply to loan applicants. USDA - Rural Development Direct Loans are available to
low-income households, which are made directly by the federal government.
USDA - Rural Development Guaranteed Loans are available to low and moderate income
households, and lending institutions other than the government makes such loans.
For more information,

the USDA Rural Development website.
