Sec. 19-21.
Private sanitary landfills; permit required.
No person shall locate, operate,
conduct or maintain a sanitary landfill or any place for the disposal and/or storage of
solid or hazardous wastes in the county unless a permit therefor is issued by the board of
supervisors. Such permit shall be subject to such conditions as may be deemed necessary by
the board of supervisors to protect the public health, safety and welfare. A violation of
any condition of any such permit shall be deemed a violation of this chapter and, in
addition to any other penalty, may result in the revocation of the permit. |
