Unless otherwise provided in this
chapter or by law, when notice is required to be given by the provisions of this chapter,
such notice may be given by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the owner at the
mailing address of the owner, as shown on the current Land Book of the county. In the
alternative, such notice may be delivered to the owner personally, or a member of the
owner's immediate family, or posted at the front door of the premises if the address of
the premises is the same as the address listed for the owner on the land book. In the
event none of the above methods is available, notice may be given by publication one (1)
time in a newspaper of general circulation in the county.
