ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL
Sec. 4-6. Abandoning
domestic animal in public place or on property of another.
No person shall abandon
or dump any animal.
"Abandonment," for the purpose of this section, is defined as deserting,
forsaking or intending to absolutely give up an animal without securing another owner or
without providing the necessities for the life and well-being of the animal. Violation of
this section shall be punishable as a Class 3 misdemeanor.
