Book Review Criteria:
Using the
online Summer Reading Log, write a book review of at least three (3)
sentences. Include the book title, author first and last name,
genre (fiction or nonfiction), and rating. Please note that only
"Public" book reviews are eligible for the prize drawings. Reviews that do not
meet the program requirements or contain offensive language are not
eligible for the prize drawings.
Program Participation
Criteria: Attend and sign-in at a teen summer reading program
at the Library. Using the
online Summer Reading Log, write a one sentence review of the
program. Include the name of the program, program presenter, and
rating. Choose "Program" for the genre. Information will be
checked against the program sign-in sheets, so remember to sign-in.
Please note that only "Public" program reviews are eligible for the
prize drawings.
Prize Drawings:
Participants will receive one entry in the weekly prize drawings for
each book you review in a given week and one entry for each program you
attend and review each week. For example, week 1 runs from June 22
through June 28. During that week if you read one book and enter a
book review at the Summer Reading web site, you will receive one entry
in the prize drawing. If you read and enter a book review and
attend a program and enter a program review, you will receive two
entries in the prize drawing and so on.
Random prize drawings for
$10 gift cards will be held each week. There will be five winners
each week. Weekly prize gift cards are: Week 1, Target; Week
2, Barnes and Noble; Week 3, Starbucks; Week 4, Wawa; Week 5, Chick-fil-a;
and Week 6, Regal Cinema. Drawings will be held each Monday
afternoon during the program. Winners will be contacted by phone
or email. The first names of the winners will also be posted on
the library web site. Prize winners should pick up their gift
cards at the Tabb Library Youth Services desk.
Participants can only win
one weekly drawing during the program; however, the more books you read
and programs you attend, the more entries you will have in the final
grand prize drawing at the end of the program. All non-winning
weekly entries will be entered in the final grand prize drawing.
The three grand prizes are a $25 Best Buy gift card, a $25 iTunes gift
card, and a $25 Panera Bread gift card.
All York County Public Library programs are
free and open to everyone. For more information, contact the Youth
