The library will offer a
full schedule of fun activities and programs based on the Catch the
Reading Bug! theme. On Saturday, June 21 at 1 p.m. we'll kick off the
summer reading program with an Ants in Your Pants Dance
Extravaganza in the Tabb Library meeting room.
Movie Mondays will feature a 10:30
a.m. showing of a children's movie in the
Tabb Library and Yorktown Library meeting room.
Terrific Tuesdays will bring a variety
of performers to both libraries. Wednesdays and Thursdays are
full of preschool story times at the Yorktown and Tabb libraries.
Buggy Crafts are on the
Thursday schedule at Yorktown. We also have two special programs —
Bed Bug Family Story Time and the
Bug Club.
Registration begins
Monday, June 16, at 10:00 AM at the Tabb and Yorktown Libraries.
All summer reading programs and activities are free and open to everyone. For more information,
contact the Youth Services department at (757) 890-5110. The
summer reading program is sponsored by the generous support of the
Friends of the York County Public Library.
