SUMMER READING FUN

Be Creative @ Your Library is the theme for the 2009 Summer Reading Program for ages 2½ to 12 and Express Yourself @ Your Library is the program theme for rising 6th - 12th graders. Registration continues at both libraries for the children's program. Signup online for the teen program. Watch the Be Creative and Express Yourself public service announcements on YouTube. Check out activities for children and teens.

 
PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

Join us for Preschool Story Time this summer and be creative! Weekly themes include music, art, food, drama, dance and your imagination. Registration is not required for summer story time. For more information call the Youth Services Department at the Tabb (890-5110) or Yorktown (890-3236) Library.

 
STORY EXPLORING @ YOUR LIBRARY

Let's go story exploring at the Tabb Library on Wednesdays from 2-3 p.m., July 1 through August 5! Explore the work of a different author / illustrator each week. Registration is not required. Come to one program or all six. This program is for children in Grades K-2.

The Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, recently announced 2008 additions to Great Web Sites for Kids. Great Web Sites features links to valuable Web sites of interest to children organized by subject headings. Check out the complete list.

 
PAWS TO READ @ YOUR LIBRARY

Paws to Read at your York County Public LibraryJoin us on the fourth Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. for Paws to Read!  Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to read to a certified pet therapy dog and their owner.  Paws to Read programs have been shown to help readers gain self confidence and improve their reading skills. A signed parental permission slip will be required. Paws to Read! will meet at the Tabb Library on July 25.
