YOUTH SERVICES

Welcome to the York County Public Library Youth Service Department. Our youth collection includes books, audio books, and videos. We offer story times and other special programs, too. For more information, contact us at 890-5110.

 
WINTER STORY HOUR REGISTRATION

Registration for the Winter Session of Tiny Tales and Toddler Tales begins at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009.  Story Time registration begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Call or stop by the Youth Services desk at Tabb (890-510) or Yorktown (890-3236) to register.

FUN AT ONE - LET IT SNOW!

"Let it Snow!" at your libraryJoin us for the third session of Fun at One, a program for children ages 6-10 who are home schooled.  Enjoy books, crafts, and activities centered on the theme, Let it Snow! This one hour program meets at 1 p.m on Monday, January 26 and February 2, 9, and 23 in the Yorktown Library meeting room. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Registration is not required, but please let us know if you are interested in attending. For more information, call the Yorktown Library at 890-5207.

 
PAWS TO READ @ YOUR LIBRARY

Paws to Read at your York County Public LibraryJoin us on the fourth Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. for Paws to Read!  Children ages 6 to 12 are invited to read to a certified pet therapy dog and their owner.  Paws to Read programs have been shown to help readers gain self confidence and improve their reading skills. A signed parental permission slip will be required. On Jan. 24 Paws to Read! will meet in the Tabb Library meeting room.
