York County Public Library Youth Service Department. Our youth collection
includes books, audio books, and videos. We offer story times

NATIONAL GAMING DAY @ YOUR LIBRARY |
|
Calling
all middle and high school aged youth. The Tabb Library is
hosting a National Gaming Day @ your Library program from
1-3 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, in the children's activity
room. Enjoy an afternoon of board games and Nintendo Wii
games including Guitar Hero, DDR, Madden NFL 08, Mario Kart, and

READ ALL ABOUT IT! |

Join us for a
special children's program about the famous newspapermouse,
Geronimo Stilton, editor of the Rodent's Gazette! This
program for children in grades 1-3 will include reading,
activities, crafts, and fun! We will meet on Thursday,
November 6, 13, and 20 from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. in the Tabb
Library meeting room. Register at the Youth Services Desk
or call 890-5110. This program is limited to 25 children. |
PAWS TO READ @ YOUR LIBRARY |
|
Join us on the
fourth Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. for Paws to Read! Children
ages 6 to 12 are invited to read to a certified pet therapy dog
and their owner. Paws
to Read programs have been shown to
help readers gain self confidence and improve their reading
skills. The November 22
session will be held in the Yorktown Library meeting room.
A signed parental permission slip will be required. |
FUN AT ONE - IT'S A MYSTERY! |

Join us for the second session of Fun at One, a
program for children ages 6-10 who are home schooled.
Enjoy books, crafts, and activities centered on the theme, It's
a Mystery! This one hour program meets Mondays at 1 p.m.
from November 3-24, 2008, in the Yorktown Library Meeting Room.
Parents are encouraged to attend with their children.
Registration is not required, but please let us know if you are
interested in attending. For more information, call the

Get
in the holiday spirit by making a beautiful holiday ornament at
the Tabb Library from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 22,
December 6, and December 13. Register for just one session or
all three at the Youth Services desk or by calling 890-5110.
This activity is for ages 8-12 and will be held in the
children's activity room. Registration is required and limited
to 25 in each session. |
HOLIDAY STORY TIME |

Ring
in the holidays with a special holiday story time on Saturday,
December 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the Tabb Library meeting room or
at 1 p.m. in the Yorktown Library meeting room. Enjoy a
festive story, songs, and a craft. Recommended for ages 3-7, but
all ages are welcome. Registration is not required. |
