American Library Association Youth Media Awards: 2017
The Youth Media Awards honor children's and young adult authors and illustrators, as well as producers of children's audio materials. They include the prestigious Newbery, Caldecott, Odyssey and Geisel Awards.

Battle of the Books
This reading list is provided for the annual Battle of the Books reading competition for students in grades 4-8. The titles listed represent a variety of genres of children's literature sure to appeal to any upper-elementary or middle school reader.

The American Library Association Best Fiction for Young Adults Committee selects a yearly list of significant young adult fiction, as well as the top ten titles. These titles are selected for their proven or potential appeal to the personal reading tastes of the young adult.

York County School Division Required Summer Reading: Summer 2016
The York County School Division (YCSD) Required Summer Reading list is available online at the YCSD website. Under the "Summer Assignments" click on the "English" link. The library's YCSD list links directly to the books in the library's catalog. Also, notations are made for titles available as eBooks and audiobooks.
